Our original proposal for a 258 bedroom hotel on the Minories in London received a positive response from the City of London Corporation which resolved to grant planning permission for the scheme in June 2011.

Following this an opportunity arose to extend the scheme towards the north to provide an additional 33 hotel guest bedrooms. The revised scheme was supported by the City of London Planning Officers and the new application was granted planning permission in June 2012.

Demolition is due to start on the existing 1960’s office building in September 2012 and the Main Contractor is due to start on site in January 2013.

The hotel is scheduled to open its doors in summer 2014 and will be Motel One’s first hotel opening in England.
