Brett Woonton, Charlie Young and Elena Ares, the dynamic young team behind the hugely successful, much loved Vinoteca in Farringdon and Marylebone opened their third wine bar, dining room and wine shop at 53 – 55 Beak Street Soho in May this year.

We designed the interior to highlight the original features of the building exposing the brickwork and restoring the terracotta tiled ceiling and the iron-framed Crittall windows.

Our design removed and repositioned the existing stair so that it leads directly off the main dining area. This would create a better connection between the upstairs formal dining area and the downstairs wine bar and shop. The bar was positioned centrally next to the stairs with a wineglass chandelier directly above.

Natural materials, such as the solid oak floors and shelving feature alongside reclaimed tables and chairs reupholstered in English leather, old Victorian mahogany theatre benches, vintage wine posters and 1950’s Festival of Britain Chandeliers add character.
