"Comporta is the new Hamptons" was the headline that attracted us to look at developing an Eco project in the region. Fortunately, you can't build on the 65 kilometre Atlantic beachfront, like the beach, dunes and rice paddies behind are protected, unlike the Hamptons. However, there is a shared passion for leading modern Architecture in private Villa and developing resorts. Comporta has its beach lifestyle that has attracted the International design set over the years as a secret and quiet hideaway.

After much research, we have produced a detailed feasibility study to attract and work with an International or Portuguese investment house to support our Vision of a Zero Carbon, sustainable wellbeing community in the Melidies region. The estate will be self-sustainable, harvesting its produce from the farm's black pigs and cattle in the ancient oak groves and fruit and vegetables for the resort gardens and vineyard.

The UK specialist hospitality team led by Mackay + Partners as Developer / Architect prepared the proposal with local architectural and planning support. Sites are currently being secured, and operators are shortlisted for this exciting future development, which will be on-site by early 2023.
